Not every year is for growing revenue. Some years are for becoming. ✨

Want to show up differently in your design studio in 2026? Start with your mindset. As I reflected on 2025, I had a few honest lessons that I wanted to share with design studio owners. And what started as one email, is now a series of emails coming your way this week. Here's email #2.

Hey Reader,

As I said in email #1, following my intuition at the start of 2025, I didn’t make a big plan. No big revenue goals. No fancy strategies. No color-coded calendar.

I chose less structure, more space.

And you know what I found?
When structure disappears, truth gets loud.

This became the year of:
☕ Slow matcha mornings
🍽️ 2-hour lunches
💃🏻 3pm dance breaks
🧘‍♀️ No pressure. No calendar. No push.

Just space.

And space doesn’t just give you rest—It shows you yourself.

It peeled back the productivity armor and all the performative “doing.”

And underneath? I saw me.

Not the hustling version.
Not the “always striving” version.
Just me. My softness. My wounds. My joy.

And that shifted something big in me —
I didn’t want to prove anything anymore.
Not to others. Not even to myself. 🤷‍♀️

Here’s why that matters…

When your identity is tied to your business goals, every move starts to feel heavy.
🔁 You grip too tightly.
🧠 You overthink what to say on sales calls.
💸 You second-guess your pricing.
🖥️ You redesign your website endlessly—just to prove you’re good at what you do.

You try to control everything.. so you can control the outcome.

And without even realizing it—you squeeze the joy out of your work.

It’s like building a sandcastle and wrapping your arms around it to protect it…
Only to crush it under your own pressure.

But the truth?

We are infinitely, inherently worthy just because of who we are, not because of what we do and achieve. Yes you are

And problem comes from associating our self worth/ identity to our business and the results we create in it.

But when you detach?

The outcome (good or bad) doesn't define who YOU are.

And so the magic begins..
🤩 You stop gripping and start playing.
🔥 You take bold risks.
🧘‍♀️ You move with desire, not desperation.
⚡ Your energy shifts from overthinking into action.

And that is exactly what creates the results you want.

That’s what space gave me in 2025.
The clarity to pause without fear.
The confidence to launch my personal coaching brand.
The freedom to live more—while working wayyy less.

I averaged 5 hours of work per week.
Took 8 trips. (Check out my recap here)
Spent most of my time away from my desk.
Soaked up 3 whole months with my parents. 💛
And created beautiful memories with the people I love.

And the business?
I'll spill the tea in the next email. 😉

But before I go, let me ask you something:

✨ How would you show up in your design studio if your self-worth wasn’t tied to the goal?
✨ What if a “no” on a sales call didn’t mean you weren’t good enough?
✨ What if client feedback didn’t define how good of a designer you are?

That’s the work we do inside HEWD—where mindset meets strategy so you can book consistent $10K projects without second-guessing every move.

Still becoming,
Chaitra 💛
