Happy Friday Reader!!
I talk about running a profitable design studio working 4 hours per day. Many of you may be *eyeroll* - that sounds too good to be true! I understand cuz I never thought that possible either. But hey!! it's been 3 years and it's sailing as smooth as ever. Plus several clients inside the High-end Web Designer program are doing it too - so it works and can totally work for you too!
Its absolutely possible for you to run a highly profitable design studio while working 4 hours a day!!
I know that can be hard to visualize, especially if you are currently pulling late-nighters, juggling client projects, struggling to meet deadlines, and feeling tired. I’ve felt that too! Before I had my son, there were days when I was just stuck to my computer for 12+ hours, hopping from one project to another, with little headspace to focus on anything outside my business, waiting on the edge for my client’s feedback responses - it felt like my business was running me, not the other way around.
When I had my son, my world changed almost instantly. With limited child care, I just had to make my business work with 4 hours available to me each day. It was almost like I had no other option - so I had to figure it out. So I did.
I tweaked my business model to match my lifestyle, not the other way around.
One of the biggest reasons I've been able to work 4 hours per day is because I work on 1 project at a time. And I've been able to do that cuz of raising my prices and charging 10k+ for my projects. This lets me make a profitable income, pay myself a good salary and support my family. While also being a mama and working 4 hours/day.
After my maternity break..
I raised my prices to $10k+ per project (This didn’t happen overnight. Slowly but surely, it did. 7 months after coming back from maternity break - I booked my first 10k project in July 2020!!)
I limited spots to 1 (max 2) clients at a time.
I wrapped up each project within 4-6 weeks (Implementing a streamlined process + holding boundaries were big things in making this happen)
And it worked.
4 hours is more than enough to make big things happen in your business. Especially when you have a clear direction that you are moving towards and working with 1-2 clients at a time.
Plus the headspace and clarity you have when you are focused on 1 project is HUGE. Not to mention, the red carpet client experience and the insanely needle-moving results you provide for your clients. Its a win-win situation for you AND your client.
Inside the HEWD program, we help you attract clients that will invest $10k for your web design services as well as help you deliver those projects with a bang in 4-6 weeks.
I see it is possible for you, do you too?
Hit reply and tell me, what do you want your every day to look like?
